Berlin, 30 November 2023 – When November is at its coldest, bringing with it the first snow, it is time for BOAT & FUN BERLIN to light up the display halls around the Berlin Radio Tower. From 30 November to 3 December 2023 the Berlin Exhibition Grounds will become an eldorado for everyone interested in and fascinated by water sports and leisure activities in, on and around water. And so, just in time for the first weekend of Advent, Berlin once again becomes the capital of water sports. BOAT & FUN BERLIN is not only the place to be for water sports enthusiasts and tourists who just before the season ends are preparing for next year – for fishing enthusiasts, travelholics, camping fans and outdoor enthusiasts this is also the right event.

In partnership with ANGLING WORLD BERLIN, Germany’s largest trade fair on the popular sport of fishing, AUTO CAMPING CARAVAN and the BERLIN TRAVEL FESTIVAL, BOAT & FUN BERLIN is Germany’s largest boating and leisure exhibition for water sports, outdoor activities, adventure and travel. Over a period of four days, in 16 halls occupying more than 90,000 m² and featuring over 850 exhibitors, the Berlin Exhibition Grounds will offer inspiration and provide information on every leisure activity in, on and around water.

GALA NIGHT OF BOATS – exclusive preview on November 29, 2023

BOAT & FUN BERLIN opened on November 29, 2023 with the GALA NIGHT OF BOATS. Taking as its slogan "Let's celebrate the Caribbean Night!", the boat and leisure trade fair hosted an exclusive preview on the evening before the first day of the trade fair. Bright colors, Caribbean sounds and rhythmic dances – strolling between noble boats, novelties and premieres, experience top-class music and show acts and enjoy the Caribbean flair. The perfect opportunity to escape the cold Berlin winter for a night.

• Berlin is a showcase for trade fair debuts – and this year’s BOAT & FUN BERLIN is no exception. Making its world debut is the Aqualine 750. Hybrid Adventure, its European debut the Texas 770 Sunday, and making their Germany debut are the Aqualine 550. Hybrid Adventure, Finval 575 PRO, Galeon 370 GTO, Linssen 35 SL Sedan, Marex 440 GC, Navan 30, Parker 100 Sorrento, and the luxury RIB SPX RIB 32 from Sicily. Numerous other new boats are also on show for the first time in Berlin.

• In recent years the Best of Boats (BOB) Award has established itself as one of Europe’s most important competitions for motorboats. This year, marking a special anniversary, BOAT & FUN BERLIN will host Europe’s biggest award for motorboats for the tenth time. At a presentation ceremony on the evening of the first day of the fair, honours will be awarded in seven categories for the best boats of 2023. The CEOs of international boatbuilders, numerous industry representatives and boat magazine journalists from all over Europe are expected to attend.

• Whether dinghies, yachts, technical equipment for ocean sailing, items for refitting boats, or an extensive range of yacht rigging and new sails in the Sailmaking Centre – for sailing enthusiasts Hall 25 and hub27 are the place to head. For some extra knowledge and inspiration, the experts at the Sailing & Refit Forum are the people to see. This year, their focus is on all the technical aspects of sailing and boatbuilding – from repairing sails on the high seas to modern, sustainable boatbuilding practices. • Electric boats that barely whisper, responsible cruising, or even travelling at speed – electric boating and the electrification of water sports are this year’s headline topics. The increasingly diverse boat market is reflected in the wide range on show in the E-boat Saloon in Hall 3.2. On day one of BOAT & FUN BERLIN, the Electric Summit #2 will gather experts on waterborne mobility to discuss the future of electric boats. • Houseboats are on show in Hall 3.2. Manufacturers include Floating Homes, LuxBoot, Nautilus, NRW Hausboote with Campi Boats, Sun Marine, SYC Gawlowski and Tom Sawyer. The WasserWohnForum will feature a fascinating programme of lectures on living and travelling on water.

• Whether for tips from water sports and sailing experts such as Olympic canoeing champion Ronald Rauhe, exciting adventure and sailing stories from Team Malizia and sailing influencers Anna Lange and Malin Knodel, or for a fascinating insight into marine conservation with the shark and free diving expert Lukas Müller – the programme on the new Lifestyle Stage in Hall 4.2 presented by BOAT & FUN BERLIN and the Berlin Travel Festival promises a wealth of inspiration.

• Once again, water rats of all ages can look forward to all kinds of fun – be it trying out kayaks, canoes and standup paddleboarding in the large pool in Hall 4.2, finding out about the latest foilboarding, wakeboarding surfboarding trends, testing one’s own skill at surfing and balancing in the Skimboard & Balanceboard Zone, or doing a lap on the bike testing circuit powered by Stadler. • At Trau dich! in Hall 25, those with a thirst for adventure and knowledge can find a range of pastimes, including fascinating games, quizzes, information and sporting activities from the world of water sports.

• From 30 November to 3 December in Halls 20 to 23 at the combined venue of BOAT & FUN BERLIN, AUTO CAMPING CARAVAN and TransporterTage Berlin are showing major makes and models, with displays including car trailers, caravans and camping equipment. Whether for novices or experienced camping enthusiasts, this trade fair for all the family is the place to head.

• ANGLING WORLD BERLIN, a magnet for amateur and sports-oriented fishing enthusiasts, gathers leading brands and the international stars from the fishing scene in one place. Bait and tackle, boats and systems, fashion and outdoor articles, casting and fly-fishing equipment, fishing tours and regions – from 1 to 3 December fishing enthusiasts will find everything they can wish for in Hall 26. Be it the Angling Forum, discussions with experts, casting areas, baiting demos or cooking shows – a wide-ranging and outstanding programme will round off events. • BERLIN TRAVEL FESTIVAL: whether for culture surfers or those who love weekend activities, travel alone or together with the family, or for anyone wishing to travel the world and make new discoveries, the Berlin Travel Festival is an event not to be missed. From 1 to 3 December 2023 the travel and lifestyle festival is taking place for the second time at the combined venue of BOAT & FUN BERLIN. Over a period of three days in Hall 2.2 it will offer inspiration and provide information on dream holidays and tours around the world. Among this year’s new attractions are The Tiny House Village and PHOTO NOW Area and an opening tour of the Red Bull Illume exhibition. Four trade fairs, one ticket and lots of fun

Tickets to BOAT & FUN BERLIN are available from the online shop at www.boot-berlin.de/en/berlin/tickets/. A day ticket costs17 euros, a 2-day ticket 24 euros. By purchasing a ’3 for 2’ ticket for 36 euros, three people can visit together at a reduced rate. A family ticket costs 36 euros and is valid for a maximum of two adults with up to three children aged 6 to 14. Children up to the age of six are admitted free of charge.
